The Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (MM UNDIP), continues to strengthen students’ competencies through various learning activities that are closely connected to industry practices. As a member of the Indonesian Alliance of Master of Management Programs (APMMI), MM UNDIP encouraged its students to participate in the National Webinar entitled “The Strategic Role of General Insurance in Risk Mitigation and Protection for Business and Non-Business Sectors,” organized by APMMI in collaboration with BRI Insurance on 11 July 2026.
The webinar featured Eka Indria Sari, Executive Vice President of Business Development at PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. The event was officially opened by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Chair of APMMI, and moderated by Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim, Ph.D. Participants included students, lecturers, academics, and administrators of Master of Management programs from universities across Indonesia.
Through this webinar, students gained valuable insights into the evolving role of general insurance, which has shifted from being viewed merely as an operational expense to becoming a strategic instrument for risk management. General insurance plays a crucial role in protecting assets, ensuring business continuity, strengthening financial resilience, and supporting sustainable business growth.
Students also developed a deeper understanding of various types of insurance coverage, including property insurance, business interruption insurance, marine cargo insurance, liability insurance, engineering insurance, cyber insurance, motor vehicle insurance, travel insurance, and personal accident insurance. Practical examples and real-world case studies enabled participants to better understand risk transfer mechanisms, cost control strategies, cash flow protection, and the importance of organizational resilience in an increasingly uncertain business environment.
This webinar forms part of MM UNDIP’s ongoing commitment to enhancing students’ competencies, particularly in the areas of financial literacy, risk management, and business decision-making.
