⏳ History & Governance Timeline of MM FEB UNDIP
The Master of Management (MM) Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University, has continually transformed its governance structure to deliver excellent, accountable, and adaptive academic services.
📜 1994: Official Establishment & Legal Foundation
    • Establishment Date: July 4, 1994
    • Legal Decree: Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Department of Education and Culture No. 166/DIKTI/Kep/1994.
    • Core Focus: Providing postgraduate education awarding a Master’s Degree (S2) in Management, serving as one of the pioneering master’s programs within Diponegoro University, Semarang.

🏛️ Pre-2011: The Postgraduate School Coordination Era
    • Structural Position: Structurally, all academic and administrative activities of the Master of Management Study Program were under the direct coordination of the Postgraduate Program of Diponegoro University.

🏢 2011 – 2021: Transition to FEB & The Three-Leader Model
    • Institutional Integration: Starting in 2011, structural coordination was fully transferred to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Diponegoro University.
    • Administrative Management: Administratively, the study program operates under the Master’s Program Management Unit of FEB UNDIP.
    • Organizational Structure: Daily operations were led by a Head of the Study Program, supported by two Assistant Heads (Secretaries):
        • 📑 Secretary of Academic Affairs
        • 💰 Secretary of Financial and General Administration Affairs

⚡ June 1, 2021 – Present: Modernization & Streamlined Governance
    • Structural Optimization: To enhance bureaucratic efficiency and service flexibility, MM FEB UNDIP restructured its leadership model into a more streamlined and integrated format.
    • Leadership Composition: Since June 1, 2021, the program management has been run synergistically by two core leaders without separate administrative divisions:
        • 👤 Head of the Study Program
        • 🤝 One Secretary of the Study Program

 
 

 

Specialization, Acreditation, and Cooperation.

The Diponegoro University Master of Management Study Program is led by a Chair of the Study program who is assisted by two Assistant Heads, namely the Secretary for Academic Affairs and the Secretary for Financial and General Administration.This Masters Program has 9 concentrations, namely: Cross-Cultural Management, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Public Sector Management, Wealth Management, and Risk Management (cooperating with Otoritas Jasa Keuangan – OJK).

Until now, the Master of Management Program has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board 4 times. The first accreditation was in 2001 with SK DIKTI DEPDIKBUD Number: 00342 / Ak-1-43 / UDPMMJ / II / 2001 predicate Superior Status. Furthermore, in 2006 with the DIKTI Decree Number: 014 / BAN / AK-V / S2 / X / 2006 received a score of 4.8 and Status A. The third accreditation carried out in 2011, the Master of Management Study Program was also able to maintain the A Grade Status with SK from PT Ban Number: 028 / BAN-PT / Ak-IX / S2 / XII / 2011.

 

Diponegoro University’s Master of Management has also been able to collaborate with government agencies, BUMN, and BUMS and develop two scientific journals, namely the Business Strategy Journal and the Marketing Science Journal. MM Undip has 50 teaching staff. The permanent teaching staff consists of professors, doctors.
